: Man who assaulted Alipur SHO with blade among 44 captured 


The Delhi Police on Friday captured 44 individuals for viciousness at Singhu line following a conflict among ranchers and an enormous gathering 'nearby' occupants. 


The Delhi Police said among the individuals captured is 22-year-old Ranjeet Singh from Punjab, who assaulted SHO (Alipur) Pradeep Paliwal with a sword. He has been charged with attempt to kill and discouraging local official. 


Inconvenience started at around 1.30 pm on Friday, when nearly 200 individuals from neighborhood villagers reached the Singhu border and requested that the dissenters clear the zone and open the border.They said that they have been giving all sort of help to the dissidents throughout the previous two months yet now the dissent is influencing their work. Thus, they mentioned them to abandon the street. They had gone ahead Thursday too with a similar solicitation," Additional Delhi Police PRO Anil Mittal told PTI. 


There was opposition from certain ranchers which prompted pulling and pushing of barriades and afterward the gatherings began pelting stones. 


The police needed to discharge nerve gas shells and resort to mallet energize to break the conflict at Singhu line which turned violent with individuals flinging stones at one another. 


In the viciousness, SHO Paliwal was assaulted by Singh, who was overwhelmed and caught at the spot. The SHO supported deplorable wounds and five other police work force were likewise harmed, a senior cop said.
